Class to Night Out: Striped Pencil Skirt
Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away. One of my favorite things about interning this summer (besides the valuable work experience) is finally getting to wear all the cute, professional “big girl” outfits I’ve been dreaming of since I was little. (What? I watched The West Wing a lot.)
The downside? Making those outfits acceptable for post-work activities is not exactly simple. If you’re the girl wearing a black two-piece suit and pearls to go sight-seeing in the city with your non-intern friends, you will look like a weirdo (and a sweaty weirdo at that), so versatile pieces are a must – especially in the summertime!
That’s why this week I’ll be showing you one of my favorite work-and-play staples, the striped pencil skirt. These babies are little more youthful than your garden variety pencil skirts, but still look super-polished for the office. Whether or not you’re working this summer, you’re going to want one anyway once you see how I’ve styled one for day and night:
